Interview Highlights

Once you enable AI Notetaker in your account, you gain access to Interview Highlights, an AI-powered feature that identifies and summarizes key moments from your transcripts

✅ This feature is currently only available for Enterprise and Custom plans using AI Notetaker.

Highlights reviews the AI Notes and automatically generates a 1-page summary. It focuses on these areas:

  • Were the interview goals and the technical tasks explained clearly by the interviewer?
  • Was the candidate able to complete the technical task(s)? Did they complete any improvements, such as refactoring or testing? 
  • How was communication quality, from both the interviewer and candidate?
  • How did the interview wrap-up, were there any questions from the candidate about the role or company? 

Why use Interview Highlights?

This feature is designed to help recruiters and talent teams save time, enhance collaboration, ensure consistency, and improve the candidate experience.

  • Save Time: Recruiters and talent teams can quickly review key highlights, saving time reading through full length transcripts.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Hiring managers and recruiting teams can easily review the session together, ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
  • Improve Candidate Experience: Interview Highlights can be used for coaching and training of teams, ensuring that candidates receive a consistently great interview experience.

Getting started with Interview Highlights

To use this feature, go to your Organization Settings and make sure that AI Notetaker & Highlights is turned on. 

Insights & Analytics section with two enabled toggles: ‘Enable AI Notetaker & Highlights,’ listing features for video call transcription and AI-generated one-page interview summaries, and ‘Enable Interview Outlines,’ listing AI summaries of the candidate’s solution.

Highlights will be generated for all pads that have AI Notes. All the same policies for AI Notes still apply, i.e. all users and candidates must opt into AI Notetaker in their pad. 

Reviewing Interview Highlights

  • Interview Highlights are available in the code playback — which means that the pad must be ended to generate Highlights. Note that the Highlights may take a few moments to generate.
  • The copy button allows copying the full highlights to your clipboard, to share with others or post to your ATS.

FAQs

What will the candidate experience be like? 

The same as AI Notes – candidate agrees to being transcribed, but will not see Interview Highlights at any time

Can the candidate opt out?

The candidate can opt out of both AI Notes and Highlights by opting out of AI Notetaker. They cannot agree to AI Notes and opt out of Highlights

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes.

What service is used to generate Highlights?

Open AI

If the feature is turned off at the organizational level, does it generate Highlights anyway?

No. There are two requirements for Highlights to be generated:

  1. The feature has to be turned on in your Organization Settings.
  2. Pad participants have to agree to transcription for AI Notetaker when joining the call. 

How long are AI Notes saved?

AI Notes and Highlights are saved as long as the pad is saved. Customers can delete any pad, which will also delete these attachments. If you use the auto-pad-delete setting, the AI Notes and Highlights will be deleted along with the pad at that time.
