CoderPad is by far the best coding interview tool we’ve used. It beats the pants off of all the other “live editor” services out there – and then it lets you execute code, too!

My goal is to simulate real work as much as I can in an hour. CoderPad lets me do just that – the candidate gets to write code in a language they know, run it, write test cases, and debug. It’s so, so much better than just pseudocoding on a whiteboard.

CoderPad has finally, truly, and uncompromisingly eliminated the whiteboard from interviews. It feels native, lets you write and run real code instead of pseudocode with no effort, and gives you something interactive that you can review again after.

Simplicity. The fact that is supports anonymous access is of big importance. Environment is immediately familiar to candidates that access our coderpads for interview. A lot of languages supported (all the ones we need).

Quick to setup, easy for the candidate to get into the flow. Full feature development environment with analysis, static checking etc. Makes it a much more natural experience rather than a simple shared word doc for example.

CoderPad gives an IDE-like experience, with language awareness for several of the most common and popular languages. It allows me, as an interviewer, to allow a smoother experience for our candidates, so they can focus on what they know best!

There isn’t a steep learning curve. As a hiring manager, I appreciate quickly getting where I need to go, renaming the instance and selecting a language. The session is saved for future reference; everything is easy and automatic.

I am an engineer and a manager. I have custom platforms for every single continent for admin, pay, performance, recruiting flow etc.. But I only use one live coding platform. It does everything I want and quietly grows (newly added Django!) without cluttering on the critical path. Being great while unobtrusively offering more is an art form we should all strive for.

I love the broad language support, the ability to save questions AND answers in different languages, and how straightforward it is to create a new interview directly from a previously saved question. It’s fantastic.
