How? By leveraging custom questions within CoderPad’s live interviewing tool, engineering managers can say with confidence if a candidate has the skills needed for on the job success or not. Additionally, features like code playback and private interviewer notes enable engineering managers to be aligned on the fit of a candidate.
Now, when we debrief candidates – everyone is on the same page. All of the decision makers are able to replay the coding session and see the interviewer’s notes so we can spend less time deliberating and are able to move to a decision much faster. We couldn’t do this without CoderPad.

CoderPad has also assisted in standardizing the expectations of candidates and creating consistency between interviews. With CoderPad, Personio’s technical hiring process has a true structure. The technical bar candidates need to meet is universally agreed upon and tested for.
Our engineering team is a very hands-on group. Everyone actively works with the code. Having a realistic coding assessment where we can confidently say ‘yes this candidate can jump into that code and make an impact’ is huge.
