Submission issue impacting CoderPad Screen (Dec. 19th – Dec. 30th, 2024)

What happened?
We experienced a technical issue on Screen between December 19th and December 30th, 2024. During this time, some multiple-choice, text, and project question submissions were incorrectly recorded as “No answer” and automatically assigned 0 points if the candidate took longer than 1 minute to respond. Coding exercises were not affected.

How was the issue resolved?

  • For text and project questions, responses have been fully restored and corrected for all affected candidates.
  • For multiple-choice questions, we were unable to restore the candidates’ answers. These will appear as “No answer” in the detailed report.

How can I identify affected candidates?
In the test results page, candidates impacted by this issue are marked with an orange alert icon.

What actions do I need to take?
For questions with manual grading, you can assess candidate reports based on their accurate, restored submissions. We recommend reviewing the impacted tests to ensure fairness in your evaluations.

Will I be compensated for this issue?
Yes. Your quota will be re-credited based on the number of tests impacted by this issue. The re-crediting process will be completed by Friday, January 17, 2025.
