But These Companies Are Still Hiring. What can be said about the world today that hasn’t already been said? We already know that every one of us is caught in the great maw of the COVID-19 pandemic. We know it’s unprecedented. And while we worry about the health ramifications, the economy has entered an abrupt recession. Companies have begun hiring freezes and – in some instances – layoffs. Industries that felt secure and filled with potential yesterday suddenly seem uncertain today. All this to say: it’s a weird time, a worrisome time, and it all can be overwhelming. But there are some good things happening in the economy too. Certain sectors are doing just fine and are actively hiring.
